Are you a New York ACP member looking to get involved in Chapter activities? Please use this form to communicate which opportunities for involvement interest you. Once your submission is received, a staff member will contact you via email with more information and to confirm your interest.

Committees and Task Forces

View the list of NYACP’s committees and task forces, including the mission and/or goals.

Most committees meet 2-4 times per year via Zoom, and new committee and task force member requests will be immediately considered.

ONLY NYACP MEMBERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO JOIN A CHAPTER COMMITTEE/TASK FORCE. Unpaid or “Lapsed” members are NOT eligible - contact ACP’s Customer Service Department to pay your dues (800-227-1915 or 215-351-2600)

Abstract and Poster Judging for the Resident/Fellow and Medical Student Competition

NYACP hosts a poster competition at the Chapter's Annual Scientific Meeting. The first round in the competition is an online abstract review, and the second round is an in-person poster competition. Members may volunteer to participate as judges in one or both rounds.

District Event Planning

NYACP District Presidents plan and facilitate local district events for members in addition to assisting the Chapter with membership recruitment, retention, and advancement to ACP Fellowship. Members who live or work in that district are invited to join the district's planning committee to help brainstorm and plan local events. The planning committee meets as needed. NYACP's goal is to hold 2 events are per year.

Faculty

NYACP hosts a variety of virtual events, in-person district meetings, and the Chapter's Annual Scientific Meeting. For consideration, please complete the NYACP Call for Speakers Form.

Content Creation and Review

The Chapter often needs content created and/or edited by physicians for Chapter programming. Examples include questions for the popular Resident/Fellow Doctor’s Dilemma Competition and Pearls of Wisdom for the Physician Spotlight Podcast. These roles are on an as needed basis.
