Women in Medicine

By the end of the session, audience members will be able to:
1. Recognize compensation disparities between men and women physicians
2. Assess the process and factors involved in promotions for women in medicine
3. Identify ways in which to support physician mothers/caregivers, including flexible work schedules/part time work, breast feeding support
4. Assess use of policies and advocacy for maternity/paternity leave, esp those supported by professional orgs such as ACP
5. Recognize various forms of mentorship/sponsorship for women in medicine
6. Identify resources and formulate a plan of building a community/network for women in medicine
