You are Invited to Join the NYACP Member Engagement Committee

Are you looking for a meaningful way to get involved with NYACP and help strengthen the community of internal medicine physicians? The Member Engagement Committee (MEC) is seeking new members!

The MEC plays a vital role in advancing the Chapter’s mission by focusing on membership recruitment, retention, and advancement to ACP Fellowship. The committee:

  • Meets 2–3 times per year virtually, with occasional action items between meetings
  • Monitors membership statistics and makes recommendations to the Council
  • Leads targeted outreach efforts to retain and recruit members

Each year, the MEC leads recruitment and retention initiatives that include personalized outreach from regional leaders to colleagues whose memberships have lapsed. In recent cycles, New York has even led the nation in retention. The committee also coordinates special drives, such as the Women in Medicine Fellowship campaign, which successfully advanced a notable and diverse group of members to the prestigious status of FACP.

If you’re passionate about building connections and helping your colleagues thrive in ACP, we encourage you to get involved!

Interested members should email Patrice Gesner, staff liaison, at pgesner@nyacp.org.
