NYACP Annual Scientific Meeting-Live and Virtual

In response to the unexpected circumstances associated with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the NYACP Executive Committee has decided to transition the in-person conference to a virtual experience. We are working on a hybrid schedule of both online and recorded sessions. 

The New York Chapter American College of Physicians (NYACP) invites you to join your colleagues in Internal Medicine at the NYACP Annual Scientific Meeting. The live session will be held on Friday, October 9th (schedule below) and all paid attendee's will be given a link to view the recorded breakout sessions for CME Credit and MOC points.

CME Accreditation: October 9 and Recorded Webinars 

The American College of Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 
The American College of Physicians designates this live activity for maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM . Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.

MOC Statement
 
Successful completion of the CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 12 MOC points in Medical Knowledge in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credit claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC points.

To claim MOC points for this activity, the ABIM requires that learners be enrolled in their MOC program. The ABIM also requires learners complete a comprehensive evaluation (e.g. quiz) of the learning that took place. Quiz questions are based on the meeting material, a minimum score of 60% is required to claim MOC points, and multiple attempts are permitted. If you have an questions about claiming MOC points, please contact ACP. If you have any questions about the MOC program, please contact the ABIM.


Resident & Medical Student Activities: Virtual Poster Competition                                                               

The Chapters popular poster competition is scheduled online Thursday, September 24 & October 1, 2020 via zoom.  This abstract competition is now open and abstracts are now being accepted online.  The winners of the poster competition will be announced during the virtual reception on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 6 pm.
